Presrite

Presrite materials are Aminoplastic Moulding Powders based on Thermosetting Resins which are condensation polymers of Urea & Formaldehyde (UF) and Melamine & formaldehyde (MF), with Alpha cellulose as an inert filler. In addition accelerators, moulding aids and pigments are compounded to obtain a comprehensive range of colours of uniform & consistent quality suited to the process of compression and injection moulding.

Today the installed capacity of Presrite is 4200 tonnes per annum - the largest in the country. Presrite is the first Moulding Power brand to obtain IS mark in India and continues to be foremost in quality.

Prescol

Prescol is a condensation product of Urea and Formaldehyde and issued as a bonding agent for any two surfaces which are porous, semiporous or fibrous. Prescol gives a bonding resistance to water, damp, corrosion, mould growth and decay. The bonding has the strength to resist any external pressure upto a certain limit.

Prescol is supplied as dry Resin Powder which generally requires to be reconstituted with water before use. It can also be supplied in aqueous form with 50% solids.

The plant to produce Prescol was set us in 1965 with an installed capacity of 2000 tonnes per annum. NUCHEM head added 10,000 TPA Capacity for liquid resin as well. Prescol carries IS mark of quality (IS 848:1974)

Features:

* In dry powder form the usage can be controlled and thus made cost effective.
* Easier to handle and transport.
* Consistently good quality.
* Higher shelf life.
* Better yield.

Applications:

Various grades of Plywood (CWR/WWR): MDF Boards: Block boards, Chip boards, Wall boards, Hard boards etc. Tea chest, Cork fell, Pencils, Brushes, Sewing machine covers, Table tops, Sports goods etc.

Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde – the first member of the Aldehyde group is marketed as an aqueous solution with 37% W/W Aldehyde contents with sufficient methanol to prevent its precipitation as Polymer.
To meet the growing needs of the industry, NUCHEM set up its Formaldehyde plant in 1970 collaboration with world leaders – Joseff Meissner Koln of Germany.

Features:

* Assurance of consistent standard quality especially of Aldehyde contents.
* Lowest possible iron content.
* Stringent quality control from raw material to end product.
* Large production and storage capacity ensures continuous supply of Formaldehyde to meet bulk requirements.
* Excellent technical and consumer guidance services to enable smooth operations by the users.

Applications:

Urea Formaldehyde Resins for- Moulding, wet strength paper, textile adhesive: Phenol/ Melamine Formaldehyde Resins for- Moulding. Laminates and coating; Explosives, Pentacrythritol – Coating, resins; Polymethecrylates-sheets for signs, leather tanning; paraformaldehyde; Hexamethylene tetramine; Scientific use in Laboratories.
